Tony Sommers is a former NCAA Division I throws coach and the founder of Sommers Systems. He built it because coaching alone — without the right tools — is a solvable problem.

Tony Sommers is a former NCAA Division I throws coach whose returning hammer throwers averaged a five-meter gain in his final season. He holds an M.S. in Movement Science from the University of Michigan, lectures in kinesiology at Cal State San Marcos, and competes as an active hammer thrower.

He built Sommers Systems because the tools available to coaches — spreadsheets, group chats, generic platforms — were never built for serious coaching work. Coaches who know what they're doing deserve systems that match.
