01 / Who Sommers Systems serves
Sommers Systems is a consulting service that builds AI workflow automation for coaching business owners and operators only. The buyer is always a business owner who is not affiliated with NCAA athletic programs. Specifically:
- Gym and studio owners running independent commercial fitness businesses
- Online coaches operating their own coaching businesses (fitness, nutrition, wellness)
- Personal trainers operating independently or through commercial gyms
- Wellness professionals running their own practices
- Health coaches operating outside of academic athletic departments
02 / Who Sommers Systems does not serve
The following are explicitly outside the scope of every Sommers Systems engagement:
- NCAA student-athletes, current or prospective
- Athletes affiliated with NCAA athletic programs, their families, or their representatives
- NCAA recruits
- NCAA collegiate coaches in their official capacity (note: a coach who runs an independent side business serving non-athlete clientele is a permitted client only if that business has no NCAA recruiting or athlete-development overlap)
- Any client whose primary business is developing NCAA-eligible athletes
Sommers Systems sells AI workflow automation to the operator of a coaching business, never to athletes. The workflows we install handle business operations (client onboarding, content systems, scheduling, intake screening, business analytics). They are not training programs, sport-specific coaching content, or athlete development tools.
03 / Resource and time separation
To maintain a clean separation between Tony's UC San Diego employment and Sommers Systems:
- All Sommers Systems work is performed outside UC San Diego employment hours
- All work is performed on personal equipment, not UCSD-issued devices
- No UCSD facilities, software licenses, branding, or contact lists are used
- No UCSD students, student-athletes, or recruits are solicited through Sommers Systems
- No UCSD email accounts are used for Sommers Systems business
04 / Entity and financial structure
Sommers Systems operates as a DBA brand under Sommers Ventures LLC, a California limited liability company in good standing. All revenue is paid to Sommers Ventures LLC business accounts. No payments are routed through personal accounts associated with UCSD employment or athletic affiliations.

05 / UCSD affiliation disclosure
Tony Sommers serves as Head Throws Coach at UC San Diego. This affiliation is disclosed in marketing materials as biographical context establishing professional credibility in coaching. UC San Diego does not endorse, sponsor, or have any commercial or affiliate relationship with Sommers Systems or Sommers Ventures LLC. Any mention of UCSD is factual reference only.
06 / Process for compliance review
If you are an athletic compliance officer or athletic administrator and need to review this business:

Sommers Systems treats NCAA compliance as a continuing commitment, not a one-time review. As the business grows, the operator will:

- Decline any client whose business serves NCAA student-athletes
- Refer any athlete inquiries to appropriate non-affiliated professionals
- Disclose this business in any required UCSD outside-employment forms
